24 Carat Gold Britannias
The Britannia is the United Kingdom’s most popular 1oz gold bullion coin. Exempt from capital gains tax, the Britannia offers the investor a great opportunity to buy gold at a low premium over the spot price.
Prior to 2013, one ounce gold Britannia coins were struck in 0.916 fineness, 22 carat gold. All these coins contain 1 oz of fine gold.
The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley’s fourth definitive UK coin portrait of Elizabeth II.
The reverse bears the classic standing Britannia engraving by Philip Nathan.
